Pupil Wellbeing
Flourish Hub School |
At Westfield Junior School we have three members of staff; Mrs Jones, Mr Winslade & Mrs Hall, who have attended training to allow them to deliver the Flourish Project to pupils in Year 5 and Year 6.
"What's the bravest thing you've ever said?" asked the boy. "Help" said the Horse " - Charlie Mackesy
Flourish is delivered to students to help develop a healthy self-esteem, mental and emotional wellbeing. It does this by helping young people learn to create helpful thinking patterns, grown mindsets and begin to recognise and set goals for the future.
Course covers: -
During the course, pupils that are chosen will receive a variety of items to help them remember and implement what they've learnt. Studies have shown that children with higher self-esteem are more likely to perform well in school and achieve higher grades. We recognise as a school we play a crucial part in helping to promote positive mental health in our pupils.
